West Region – Burlington
About the family
I am a follower of Jesus, husband to my best friend, Tanya, since 1999 and father to four amazing kids. Before becoming a church planter in 2012, I pastored youth for 10 years in three mid to large-sized churches in Canada. I was a church planter apprentice from Aug. 2012–Feb. 2013.
I grew up just west of Toronto (Cambridge), but lived in Miami, Fla., for two years while in high school. I enjoy Blue Jays baseball during the regular season, and am a New York Yankees fan in October. I am a CrossFitter and have a keen interest in aviation. My wife and I love “Survivor” (CBS) and have watched nearly every season.
About the Church Plant
We launched regular weekly services at Starting Point in February, 2013. Our church is accepting, fun, practical and inspiring. We design our Sunday services for people who don’t go to church and target an area of Burlington that has 30,000 people and not a single evangelical church serving that area.
We use environments, video and social media a lot in our approach, as we believe this is the language of our day. More than 150 attend our church regularly, with about 100 in attendance every week.

Please pray for these things as you pray for Starting Point Church in Burlington…
–for our city, which is 95.5% unchurched.
–for the organizational leadership required to build a sustainable and influential church.
–for creativity, insight, perseverance and resources.
–for God’s provision regarding family finances.
We need help with a summer day camp we host every July–August. We need financial partnerships to help us reach more people and to be able to send more baptism videos to our partner churches.
There are numerous ways to help a church plant. Please refer to NAMB’s website for the official policy statement concerning providing for church plants.
